1. What Capitax does (and doesn't do)

Capitax lets you upload photos, scans and PDFs of receipts and invoices, reads the information on them, lets you check and correct it, and organises it so you can export it.

Capitax does not calculate tax, prepare or file tax returns, submit anything to FBR, audit your accounts, or give tax, legal or accounting advice. Amounts, including any sales tax, are copied as printed on your documents.

2. Checking the results

Reading is done by AI, which can make mistakes, especially with blurry photos or handwriting. Uncertain values are highlighted, but you are responsible for checking the information before you rely on it or share it, and for your own tax and legal obligations. Keep your original documents.

3. Your account

• Give accurate details and keep your password and email account secure.
• You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms.

4. Your documents

• Your documents and data stay yours.
• You allow Capitax and its service providers to store, read and process them only to provide the service to you.
• Only upload documents you are allowed to use. Do not upload anything illegal or anything that isn't a receipt, bill or invoice.

5. Fair use

Please don't:

• try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around security;
• overload, attack or copy the service, or use it to send spam or malware;
• get around the limits (currently 20 MB per file and 200 uploads a day).

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Price

Capitax is currently free while in early access. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before you are charged anything, and you can choose whether to continue.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Capitax running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may improve, change or stop features. If we ever close the service, we will give you reasonable notice to download your information.

8. Responsibility

The service is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, Capitax is not responsible for indirect losses, or for decisions made using information that was not checked. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

9. Closing your account

You can stop using Capitax at any time. To close your account and delete your information, email support@capitax.org.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and tell you about important changes by email or in the app. Continuing to use Capitax after that means you accept the new terms.
